Lorena “Lory” Dickson, of Dousman, age 89, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022. She was born on August 13, 1932 to Thomas and Florence (Nutter) Brown in Saxman, West Virginia. Lorena is survived by children, Marsha Kim (Paul) Neumann, Sara Kay (Kenneth) Graham, James Edwin Dickson, Jr., Thomas Lee (Toni) Dickson; grandchildren, Jennifer Graham (Christopher) Reinsel, Bradley (Karissa) Graham, Ryan (Marianne) Graham, Lisa Bandkowski (Joseph) Fellenz, Sheila Bandkowski (DeMario) Pickens, Kailey Dickson and Kendall Dickson; great-grandchildren, Andy, Jack and Emily Reinsel, Kimberly and Madelynn Fellenz, Roman and Preston Pickens, Ben, Elizabeth and Max Graham, Jude, Milo and Violet Graham; sisters, Onalea Mutter, Norma (Carrell) McMillion, Judy Bess, Jeanetta (Bill) Lewis, Edith Clark; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, James E. Dickson Sr.; her parents; and siblings, Opal (Carter) O’Dell, Hershel Hugh Brown, Elouise Brown, Alice Brown, Mae (Denton) James, Clara Brown. Lorena “Lory” was a resident of Dousman for over 50 years. She was involved with the community in many ways. She was the Community Center librarian for several years, was active with 4-H, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Lory was employed by the Kettle Moraine Middle School as a teacher’s aide from when it opened in 1971 until she retired in 1997. She enjoyed and loved helping the students during her years working there. Lorena was a very loving mother, Grandma, Granny, Great-grandma and GiGi. Her smiles and hugs will be dearly missed. A private family service will take place at Town of Ottawa Cemetery. Memorials in Lorena’s name are suggested to the Kettle Moraine Education Foundation Scholarship Fund. The family would like to thank the Badger Hospice team and also all the healthcare workers of Crossroads Care Center of Pewaukee who have cared for Lorena.
