Louis A. Sticks, age 75 of Watertown, passed away on June 26, 2019. Louis is survived by his loving sister, Mary Ann Alexander, cousins Diana Carpenter (Dennis), Ted Hayes (Teri), Paul Hayes (Gerry), as well as many other friends and colleagues. Louis is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Louis S. and Ann Sticks, baby brother Steven Paul, brother Steven Michael, brother Paul Steven, and brother-in-law James Alexander. Louis had a passion for music and was very devoted to the Catholic Church. He was a gifted organist and played organ in the church from the age of 12 on, beginning at St. Joan of Arc, then located in Okauchee, and subsequently at St. Bernard’s in Watertown, where he played for over 30 years. He was well known in the community for this talent and could hardly go anywhere where someone didn’t remind him that he played for their family wedding, baptism, funeral or other event. Together with his business partner, John Pankau, his career path led him to co-owning and operating a franchise of the Allen Organ Company, “Brook Falls Organ & Piano Company”. Founded in 1980, the Company offered extensive experience in the technical workings of pipe organs and related electronics as well as a creative musical background, which they both shared. For almost 40 years, in a very niche market, the Company successfully installed and serviced thousands of Allen Organs and various other pipe organs in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Louis loved life. He loved his family and friends. He was passionate about everything he did, and had a variety of other interests including being a serious model train enthusiast, a gardener, a voracious reader, and he enjoyed road trips and traveling. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM with visitation for family and friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, all to take place at St. Catherine’s of Alexandria Catholic Church in Oconomowoc. Burial will follow at Summit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
