Louis Ivan Sundquist

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Louis Ivan Sundquist, who passed away on March 10, 2024, at the age of 84. Louis was born on June 1, 1939, in Escanaba, MI, to Ivan and May Sundquist.

Louis attended Bark River Harris High School in MI and furthered his education, earning an associate's degree in accounting from MATC. Louis was a dedicated systems analyst, having worked for AT&T for 35 years and later for IBM Global for an additional 4 1/4 years. In 1957, he married his high school sweetheart, Carol, whom he cherished deeply.

As a young man Louis enjoyed his family; participating in Scouting , camping, boating, biking, hiking and fishing . He was skilled in woodworking and did many home remodeling projects and always enjoyed working with his hands. As he became older, he moved from Milwaukee to Mukwonago. There he enjoyed golfing with his friends at Eagle Springs. He was also a resident of The Villages in Florida for 22 years. He loved to travel; visiting many Caribbean islands, Mexico, Thailand, and many European countries.

Louis is survived by his wife Carol; children Scott (Carole) Sundquist and Lynn (Bernie) Raml; grandchildren Kent (Shaughna) Sundquist, Angel (Tramine) Terrel, Scott Sundquist, Mickey (Beth) Sundquist; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters Donna (Ray) Charboneau, Jill (d: Adolf) Getzloff and Jackie (David) Harris; along with other family and friends.

Louis is preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will take place on Friday, April 19, 2024 at St. Jerome Catholic Church (995 S. Silver Lake Street, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 10:30am-12:00pm with a Funeral Mass to follow.
