Louise Pauline Stenson

Louise Pauline Stenson September 18, 1921 – March 20, 2022 Louise Pauline Stenson, 100, of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, went to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on March 20, 2022. Funeral and visitation will be on April 9, 2022 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 210 East Pleasant Street, Oconomowoc, WI 53066. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:00, and the funeral service at 11:00. Louise was born in Deerbrook, Wisconsin on September 18, 1921. She married Andrew Stenson on April 9, 1943. Louise and Andrew had four children. In addition to her callings as wife and mother, Louise also taught elementary age children for many years, primarily in the Greendale schools. March 20, 2022, Louise completed her walk with Jesus through her 36,708 days on this earth and is now walking with her Lord on the golden streets of heaven. What is a full life? Is it length of days? Louise’s 100 and a half years would meet that definition, but that is not where she would point you. She would have you look in the eyes of the Lord, her Shepherd. The 23rd Psalm was a favorite, and she would confidently say, “Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord FOREVER .” Even in her final days, she would tell those who visited her, “God loves me. Jesus loves me. And He loves you too. Remember that.” Louise lived this kind of a full life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Stenson. They had been married for 72 years. Louise is survived by four children: Richard Stenson (Mae), Robert Stenson (Kathy), Roxanne Gerlach, and Mark Stenson (Becky). Louise was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She is now reunited with five great-grandchildren who preceded her into heaven.
