Marcelyn Skerpca

A limb has fallen from our family tree. Marcelyn Marita Skerpca (nee Connell) age 86 of Oconomowoc, WI was lifted up to God on Monday, March 30, 2015. Marcy is survived by her caring husband of 49 years; Frederick Skerpca. Dedicated mother to Cindy Burdette, cherished grandmother to Mark Nicholas Burdette, Natalyn (Daniel Chmielewski) Burdette and Fabian Beets. Great-grandmother to Jaylynn Adams. Marcy is also survived by her sister Charlotte Borski of Endwell, NY, along with her niece and nephews Max (Cheryl) Borski of Duanesburg, NY, Kurt Borski of Albany, NY, and Diana (Joseph) DeRosa of Endicott, NY. She is further survived by numerous other family and friends. Marcy is preceded in death by her parents Erna and Lawrence Connell and her brother-in-law Max David Borski Marcy’s passion was being a genealogist and historian for the Oconomowoc Area Historical Society and Museum. These passions lead her to engage with clients around the globe. She was also a former draftsman for Wisconsin Telephone Co. She recently enjoyed going to bible study, bird watching and playing bingo at Lake Country Landing where she resided. A graveside service will take place at LaBelle Cemetery 700 East Grove Street, Oconomowoc on April 9 at 10:30am. A celebration of Marcy’s life will be held at Lake Country Landing 2255 Stonehedge Trail, Oconomowoc immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marcy’s name can be made to the Oconomowoc Area Historical Society and Museum. A special thank you to the entire staff of Lake Country Living Assisted Living Facility for the loving care and support they provided Marcy and her family.
