Marian went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 18, 2021. She was born on a farm in rural Bloomer, Wisconsin on May 9, 1921 to parents Arthur and Helen Koehler. She attended Bloomer High School. Marian met her one and only true love, Jim Igl, and they were married in 1946. They started a family and found themselves enjoying rural farm life in Dousman, Wi. They raised eight children and taught each one to work hard and to get along and enjoy the blessings of togetherness. Marian and Jim never made a decision without consulting each other. Marian’s biggest love was for her family and she cherished spending time and fixing home cooked meals every time they visited her. Marian was an active member of St. Bruno Catholic Church in Dousman for 75 years. Marian is survived by her children: Sister Mother Miriam, Thomas (Carol) Igl, Kathleen (Dennis) Janssen, Charles (Judy) Igl, Gregory (Bernadette) Igl, Bernadette (Jerry) Strand, Margaret (Bob) Sprung, and Rita (Ken) Riekkoff; 25 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws Betty Igl and Berdene Koehler. Marian is preceded in death by her husband, James Igl; parents Arthur and Helen Koehler; brothers George, Harold, and Edward Koehler; sisters Ann Tabat, Genevieve Sennett, and Francis Aloise Koehler. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Bruno Catholic Church in Dousman, WI are appreciated. A private family service will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 23 at 10:00am. Marian will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Bruno Cemetery. To watch a live stream of the service, please like the Pagenkopf Funeral Home page on Facebook.
