Marilyn Myers

Marilyn Ann Blanchet Myers Passed away peacefully at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, on November 21, 2014. Marilyn was born in Ohio on June 5, 1924, and received her Nursing Degree in Toledo, Ohio, in 1947. She worked as an Obstetrics nurse at hospitals in Ohio and Minnesota, before marrying her husband, Dr. Sherman C. Myers, in 1950. Marilyn’s husband, her parents (Burton Kent Blanchet and Irma Ely Blanchet King), and sister (Susan M. Blanchet Burns) preceded her in death. She is survived by daughters Carol Kline (Robert) of Jacksonville, Florida; Kathy Myers (Peter Forster) of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; and Monte Phillips (Charles) of Clarksburg, Maryland; grandchildren Justin Klug (Tia) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Evan Klug of Chicago, Illinois; Elizabeth Zak (Kyle) of Appleton, Wisconsin; Megan Forster of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin; great grandchildren Adeline and Ezra Klug; nieces Claudette Hatcher (Charles) of Prichard, West Virginia; Margaret Brown (James Horn) of Westminster, Colorado; Jean Deets (Bruce) of Westminster, Colorado; nephew Richard Burns (Kate) of Wynnewood, Pennsylvania; and other extended family and friends. Marilyn was an avid reader, loved animals and nature, enjoyed playing cards and antiquing, and played tennis into her 80’s. She will always hold a special place in our hearts as a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, trusted friend, and terrific Grandma Bear! In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral services are pending.
