Marilyn Rae Baldwin, 61, of Dousman, Wisconsin, went to be with her Lord on September 30, 2013. She was born to Harold and Ruth Smith, December 18, 1951, in Lorain, Ohio. Marilyn graduated from Marion L. Stelle High School in 1970 and received her BA in Speech and Hearing Pathology from Akron University in 1974. She married David Baldwin in August, 1974. Marilyn was a wonderful mother and loving wife. She was fun and creative. She enjoyed her many dear friends, antiquing, and going to garage sales. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She always made time for her kids, their friends, and their activities - rarely missing an important event in their lives. Her zest for life never faded and she often reminded her family to 'keep their light shining.' She was a Speech and Hearing Pathologist who helped and cared very much for her clients during her 20 year career. Marilyn was an active member and deacon of the former Kettle Moraine Evangelical Free Church. She was later a member of the RiverGlen Christian Church. Over her lifetime, her activities included leading Bible Studies, participating in church events, and encouraging others in their faith. She is survived by her husband, Dave Baldwin of Dousman, WI; her son, Michael Baldwin of Stone Bank, WI; her daughter and son-in-law, Hallie and Jacob Winter of Minnetonka, MN; her grandchildren: Kate and Margaret Winter, and grandson to be born this month; brother, Daryl and wife Sue Smith of Amherst, Ohio; sister, Cheryl Smith Ramsburg of Hartville, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. A memorial service for Marilyn will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 6, 2013 at RiverGlen Christian Church, S31 W30601 Sunset Drive, Waukesha. Visitation and viewing for family and friends will be from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service, all held at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marilyn's name to AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc or the Alzheimer's Association of Southeastern Wisconsin.
