Marjorie "Annie" Rose

Rose, Marjorie Anne 'Annie' On Sunday, April 22, 2012, God welcomed into His home a beloved wife, a devoted mother, an extraordinary teacher and a passionate, charismatic friend. During her 83 rich years of life, she influenced everyone she ever met in one way or another, her immediate family, her husband, Ted, her son Jeff Cox and her daughter-in-law, Deb; her cherished extended family- Deb's family, the Sterns and all their families; the hundreds of students she taught and influenced during her long teaching career at Orchard Ridge (now called Toki) Middle School in Madison, WI; and the many, many friends she made over the years, first in Sioux City, IA, where she was born and raised, then during her 44 years of married life in Madison, WI with her devoted husband, and since last May (2011), at the Three Pillars retirement community in Dousman, WI, first at Compass Point assisted living home and then, for the past nine months, at the Health Care Center, both facilities a part of Three Pillars. Annie received her elementary and secondary education in Sioux City, IA; she then attended Morningside and Briar Cliff Colleges and received her Master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She later married one of her former professors from UW-Madison, Dr. Ted Rose, whom she had met during her graduate work. During her active years, Annie and Ted traveled extensively throughout the United States, Mexico and Europe. They even took an extended honeymoon trip that took them around the world for three months. Annie's stay the last nine months at Three Pillars Health Care Center, was brightened by daily visits from Ted and Sunny (her furry four legged friend). She could not have found a better, more loving, dedicated family than everyone at Three Pillars and if anyone ever asks Ted whether he believes in angels he, as did Annie too, knows exactly where to direct them to meet angels in person. Now Annie is at peace and home in heaven, awaiting the ultimate arrival one day of Ted and Sunny- yes, she always firmly believed that all dogs go to heaven, too. Annie will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. Her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her. The family has requested no flowers, but all memorials, if you wish, should be made, in Annie's name, to the Health Care Center of Three Pillars in Dousman, WI 53118.
