Mark A. Falkowski of Watertown, age 35, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at UW Hospital in Madison with his parents at his side. He was born on April 3rd, 1985 to Tina (Paoli) and James Falkowski in Oconomowoc. Mark was diagnosed with brain and spinal cancer at the age of three. The doctors said one in three people with this disease would live five years. Mark beat the odds and was blessed with another 32 years of life on this Earth. Mark never seemed to realize the challenges he was presented with, he just lived and enjoyed life to the fullest extent possible. Indeed, Mark had an infectious smile, a great laugh, a goofy sense of humor, and he loved to give big hugs. The many people whose lives Mark touched will certainly remember him for his loving, warm personality. Mark enjoyed many things in life, especially Christmas. In fact, Mark had a Christmas tree set up year round and also had a fantastic collection of Nativity scenes. He had a childlike faith in God and loved Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Some of his other favorite things included Disney (having traveled to Disneyworld several times), dogs, his pet cockatiel ‘Rosie’, as well as birthday parties, cakes, and un-birthday parties too. Mark also loved his entire family, especially his Grandmother and Grandfather (Lido and Mary Ann Paoli) who preceded him in death. Mark is survived by his parents, his brothers (Michael and Matthew), many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as numerous caregivers and friends. The family would like to extend a warm, heartfelt thank you to all the caregivers that helped Mark over the years. A Celebration of Mark’s Life will be planned when family and friends can gather safely. Memorials can be directed to the charity of your choice or to the family.
