Mark W. Becker, age 68, of Oconomowoc, passed away Monday, April 5 at AngelsGrace Hospice, with his family by his side. Heaven gained the hardest working, most selfless, gentle, kindest man. He was born October 11, 1952 in Hartford, WI to Joseph and Dorothy Becker. Mark grew up on a dairy farm. He attended a one-room school, Pleasant View, until fifth grade. He then went to Stone Bank grade school. For high school he graduated from St. Lawrence Seminary in 1970. He started work as a mason, had his own business, and did mason work the rest of his life. He was a rural letter carrier for Oconomowoc Post Office for 40 years. He recently retired, January 2, 2021. He was very active in the Wisconsin Rural Letter Carrier Association, having served as Parliamentarian for many years. Mark was very active in the Knights of Columbus, having served as Grand Knight, District Deputy, Financial Secretary for third and fourth degrees. He was in charge of the K.C. Honor Guard. Mark also was a fireman for almost 50 years. He served with the Stone Bank Fire Department, and then Western Lakes. He was an ambulance driver for almost 40 years. Mark is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan E. Becker; his son, Nicholas (Rebecca); 3 granddaughters, Genevieve, Corinne, and Lydia; his parents, Joseph and Dorothy Becker; and 6 siblings, Judy Schaefer, Mary Jo (John) Poeschel, Lori (Mike) Haizel, Larry Becker, Diane Becker, and Dawn (Tim) Thommesen; he is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and brother-in-law Doug (Debbie) Dayman. Mark is preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Becker, and in-laws Peter and Vieno Dayman. A private family mass will be held Sunday, April 11 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church. A visitation for friends and family will be held at 3:30 to 5:30 pm, Sunday, April 11 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, W359 N8512, Brown St, Oconomowoc, WI. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to St. Lawrence Seminary, and the Western Lakes Fire Department Association, in Mark's name, would be appreciated.
