Mary T. Mecikalski, age 63, passed away peacefully early Sunday, December 6, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born on July 19, 1957 to Henry and Kathleen Grams of Cudahy. Mary’s greatest joy was her family, as they were always her top priority. She was always supportive of her children’s endeavors and was always her kids #1 fan. Mary enjoyed hosting and cooking for family and friends. During the holidays Mary was a full-time chocolate covered pretzel maker, she always made sure everyone got their order. Mary’s grandchildren were her pride and joy, she always cherished the opportunity to bake and carry-on other family traditions. She hosted the largest annual Easter egg hunt in town. Seeing her grandchildren always put a smile on her face and cheered her mood. Joy came just watching them play. Mary loved serving others and truly enjoyed the opportunity to work in the food service and banking industry. She made many lifelong friends while working at Chuck’s Supper Club, Main Street Depot, and Associated Bank. Volunteering was a huge part in Mary’s Life. Even with 4 children, she managed to help in every classroom. She was involved with the PTO, being the class mom, and never missed a field trip. You could find her camping every year for the Relay for Life to raise money for cancer research. Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Alan, four children: Christine (Willie) Hodgins, Nicole (Kevin) Burdick, Alan (Carrie) Mecikalski, and Jason Mecikalski and her grandchildren: Caitlyn, William, Joey, Danny, AraBella, Lilliana, and Calvin. She is also survived by her brother Robert (Sue) Grams, brother-in-laws: Brian (Judy) Mecikalski, sister-in-laws: Sandy (Rod) Steege, Kathy Smith, Karen Grams, and Candy Grams, and step father Tony Witkowski along with many aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and step siblings. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Kenneth and Jerome Grams. She will truly be missed by her family and friends. Visitation services for Mary will be on Sunday, December 13 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Pagenkopf Funeral Home 1165 E. Summit Ave, Oconomowoc, WI 53066. A special thanks goes out to Jody and Rebecca for helping to make the last 5 months with Mary more comfortable. She truly loved your visits!
