MaryAnne Rita Mifflin

MaryAnne Rita Mifflin (Bourdo) passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on March 10, 2025. MaryAnne was born March 2, 1943 in Milwaukee, WI.

She was preceded into death by her first husband Errol H. Bourdo, mother Marie Falk (Steidl), brother Thomas Steidl, sister Gerry Steidl and third husband James Mifflin.

MaryAnne is survived by her three boys Jeffery (Amy) Bourdo, Randy (Laura) Bourdo, Todd (Cindy) Bourdo; stepdaughter Jennifer (Gary) Loop; along with her four grandchildren, Shelby (Morgan) Gutenkunst, Jack Bourdo, Ellie Bourdo, and Charlie Bourdo; her two great grandchildren, Willemene Gutenkunst and Franklin Gutenkunst, and many more loving family and friends.

MaryAnne grew up in Milwaukee and spent much of her time at her stepfather’s resort in Minocqua. She enjoyed her time on Lower Nashotah Lake with friends and family. Reading, traveling, cooking and parties were some of her favorite activities. MaryAnne was hard to miss; you could find her driving in a red Mercedes convertible, with matching nails and bedazzled hat.

She worked as a real estate agent in the Lake Country area for many years. During that time, she was president of the Waukesha County Realtors Association, and was awarded Realtor of the Year by the association. She served on the Wisconsin Realtors Association Board of Directors and was active in the National Association of Realtors. She believed in giving back to her industry by volunteering her time and experience to the associations. She continued in the real estate industry as an appraiser, and later received her massage therapy license.

MaryAnne loved her dogs, namely Sam and Buddy. She was a major sports fan, especially the Packers, Brewers and Wisconsin Badgers. She attended several Oconomowoc football games or enjoyed listening from her porch. She also loved attending her grandchildrens numerous activities.

Christmas and birthdays were her favorite days of the year. MaryAnne loved sharing her famous desserts with family and friends, especially Christmas cookies, pies and red cake.

Later in her life, MaryAnne suffered from dementia, but remained smiling and always excited to visit with friends and family.

The family extends their thanks to The View in Johnson Creek for their unwavering support and compassion during her time there. Additionally, they extend gratitude to CommonHeart hospice care for continuous care and grace throughout a difficult time. Finally, a special thanks to Patty Grosenick for her tenderheartedness and companionship to MaryAnne for many years.
