Maya Owens

Maya Owens, age 18 of Hartland, finished her race on Friday, October 6, 2017. She is survived by her loving Mama, Holly Owens and her Sonny Boy Waddles, her Nana and Papa, Rose and Steve Owens, Auntie Jessy (Doug) Watson, Uncle Mitch (Rhonda) Owens and her cousins Autumn, Eden and Kaya Owens along with her loving dog Tanner. Maya loved her people. Angel-a, KMFB and Auntie Erin who cared for her no matter where she went...her firetruck, Disney World, hugging trees or picking up litter. Dr Pepper, Snick, Dr Bear, Dr Humphery, Dr Sadie and Jane of the Jungle who made sure she always had the opportunity to really LIVE. Thank you to all her people who cared for her at CHW, Waukesha Pediatrics, Delafield Clinic, and Aurora at Home. To her West 5 Nurses who she loved so dearly, thank you for being her best friends. To our Special Needs team who helped us pull it all together. To Muscle Mary, Teresa, and her expressive therapy friends who gave her something to look forward to each day. To Beth for supporting us on this journey. Dr Zavara and the Milwaukee Ballet for helping her to 'be a ballerina when I grow up'. As she would say...keep the Earth clean, never say the H word, wear your seatbelt and always share free hugs. You've done well sweet girl. Race you to the finish line. You will be missed more than you'd ever believe. Join us Sunday, October 22nd as we gather at the Oconomowoc Community Center from 3-6pm to exchange stories, capture memories and share love in a way Maya would consider the 'Best Day Ever.' *Free Hugs will be available* Oconomowoc Community Center: 220 W Wisconsin Ave, Oconomowoc, WI 53066 We will begin with a short presentation starting at 3pm and for those interested we will plan to watch the sunset at 6pm (weather permitting).
