Megan Leigh Solomon

Megan Leigh Solomon ( nee Smith), age 28, passed away peacefully at her home in Dahlonega, Georgia, on February 16, 2023, surrounded by her immediate family and her husband Joe.

She was a 2013 graduate of Oconomowoc High School and obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the University of Oshkosh in 2017.

Megan was an avid runner and accomplished her first marathon during an early April snowstorm, as well as a half marathon in downtown Milwaukee.

She loved going on hikes with Joe and their dog, Tsula, and spending time in the beautiful forests and trails of Northern Georgia. She was a loyal friend and was always smiling and lighting up every room with her infectious laugh and beautiful smile. During her 15 month battle with brain cancer, she managed to travel and, true to her spirit, remained active and positive, despite the challenges she faced.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Solomon; her parents, Tom and Lisa Smith; her siblings Erica (Alex) Zier, Hannah (Trevor) Smith and Ian Smith; her grandmother, Marsha Pfaff; and her little dog she affectionately called her Tsula -bird.

We would like to send a special thanks to Megan's employer, MARS Solutions Group in Waukesha, WI, Joe's employer, Lumpkin County Emergency Services in Dahlonega, GA, Affinity Hospice, and Kaye Solomon for their support during Megan's illness.

A Celebration of Megan's life will take place at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (at their new location at 2228 Silver Maple Ln., Oconomowoc) from 12pm - 4pm on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Visitation from 12-2pm and words of celebration at 2pm. Hors d'oeuvres will be available.

In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations to the American Brain Tumor Association

(https://www.abta.org/ways-to-donate/) in Megan's honor.
