Mervin D. Krause, age 89 of Dousman, WI, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Mervin was born on June 21, 1929 in West Allis, WI to Mary (nee Pesch) and Richard Krause. He was the youngest of three children. He married Sally M. Kuplerski on November 11, 1950 at Nain Lutheran Church in West Allis. Mervin and Sally resided for many years in West Allis, WI and later in Greenfield, WI before moving to rural Wautoma, WI in 1996, where they resided for 16 years until Sally’s death in 2012. Shortly thereafter, Mervin moved to Dousman and resided at the Masonic Home, Three Pillars. Mervin was an active member of the Masons while he lived in Greenfield, Wautoma and Dousman and was Past Master of Wautoma, Lodge 148. He was also a member of the Dousman Lions. Mervin enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially football, and was a big Packer and Brewer fan. He also enjoyed hunting and woodworking in his spare time, and constructed the little library located on the bike path in Dousman. Mervin is survived by three sons; David (Diane) Krause of Fort Atkinson, WI, Jeffery (Lynn) Krause of New Berlin, WI, and Scott Krause of Greendale, WI; grandchildren Jason (Kristi) Meitzner, Jennifer (John) Gaschke, Sean (Libby) Krause, Amber (Andy) Hugo, Alycia (Aaron) Arnold, Haily, Morgan and Nathan Krause, great-grandchildren Natalie, Brian, Courtney, Blake, Brady, Brynn, Alexandra, Noah, Logan, Adelynn and Abraham. He is also survived by close friend Sharon Erickson and by other relatives and friends. Mervin was preceded in death by his wife Sally, his parents Mary and Richard Krause, his brother Richard Krause and his sister Marion Storms. Funeral services for Mervin will be held at Three Pillars, Ewald Chapel, on Monday, May 13, 2019 with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Terese Leonhard officiating. A private burial will follow for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Three Pillars in Dousman, WI. The Pagenkopf Funeral Home of Oconomowoc is assisting the family with arrangements.
