With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Hyman Sylvester. After a short illness, he peacefully departed this world on November 8, 2024, with family present. Born on June 16, 1947, in Baltimore, MD.
Mike loved his family above all. He took his dog Pepper for frequent walks through the neighborhood and parks, where they loved meeting people and just talking! He was an avid hunter, a model builder, garden schlepper, and a unique individual.
Mike is survived by his loving wife Barb Sylvester (nee Jaworski, AKA Wicked stepmother) his children Dawn Marie Wreath (nee Sylvester), Michael John Sylvester, Robert Allan (Chanida "Pim") Sylvester and nephew David Michael and Susan (Peters) Leone. He left behind three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Nathan Sylvester, mother Elizabeth Sylvester (nee Deichgraeber) and sister Maxine Betty Leon (nee Sylvester).
A visitation for family and friends will take place at Pagenkopf Funeral home on Thursday, November 14th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. and at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (120 Nashotah Rd, Nashotah WI) on Friday, November 15th from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with A Celebration of life to follow. Burial will follow at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Vincent DePaul at St. Joan of Arc in Mike's honor.
