Milton Albert Baggenstoss

Milton “Milt” Baggenstoss, age 89 of Oconomowoc, passed away at AngelsGrace Hospice, on Monday, May 27, 2019. Milt is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Judy, his son Mark (Tracy) Baggenstoss and his grandchildren Emily and Matthew. He is further survived by his brother Leon (Renee) Baggenstoss and sister Lois (Edward) Schlichting, brothers Kelly (Luann) Baggenstoss, David (Benita) Baggenstoss, Ivan (Patricia) Baggenstoss and Gary (Shirley) Baggenstoss along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Milt was preceded in death by his parents August and Esther Baggenstoss, daughter Kerri Baggenstoss, his brothers Florian, Virgil, Glen, Laurel, Robert and his sister Lavonne Lehrke. Milt graduated high school, joined the Army and served as a cook. Coming out of the Army, he sailed the Great Lakes in the summer as steward. During the winter months he furthered his education in the bakery trade and graduated from Dunwoody Inst. He then went into sales in the baking trade with Swift Editable Oil Company, which was bought out by Holsum Foods of Waukesha, WI. He then moved to Dousman, WI in 1979. In 1988 he and his wife Judy bought Melody Cookies, a company in Milwaukee. Together they grew the company and moved to two other locations over the years. They ended up selling the business in 2014 and their building in 2017. A funeral service for Milt will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11:00 AM with a visitation for family and friends starting at 9:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church (470 Oak Crest Dr. Wales, WI 53183). Memorials in Milt’s honor are appreciated to AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc or to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
