Nan T Czerniakowski

Nan T. Czerniakowski, 84, of Oconomowoc, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Robert F. Czerniakowski, who died in February 2016. Nan is survived by her loving sons, Bob (special friend Melida), Peter (daughter-in-law, Beth), and her devoted granddaughters, Kathryn, Kristen, and Kaylee, and her loving sister Lynn Corriveau, along with other relatives and friends. Nan was a graduate of Pius XI High School and Marquette University. She was an elementary school teacher with MPS prior to becoming a stay at home mom. Nan led a very full life, having many interests including reading, traveling, cooking, and actively managing her financial investments. She loved animals of all kinds, and spending time at the family's summer home in Door County. Nan will always be remembered as a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother and favorite sister as well as a very charitable person. During her final years, Nan and our family were blessed to have wonderful caregivers to aid in Nan's care. A special thank you to each of them for their compassion. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at St. Jerome Catholic Church (1001 Silver Lake St., Oconomowoc). Visitation will start at 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM followed by a Rosary with Mass at 12:00 PM. A private burial will be held for the family at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Jerome Catholic Church or to Catholic Relief Services.
