Nancy Rentmeester

Nancy(nee Town) Lois Rentmeester , found peace Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the age of 97 surrounded by her family. She will be sadly missed. Nancy is survived by her daughters, Susan Smid (Jack), Jayne Arndt, Patricia Fortmann (Rick) Grandmother to: John Smid (Kelly),Cathy Sinkula (Brian), David Smid (Terri), Robb Darnell (Mary), Eric Darnell (Geri), Bradley Darnell (Heather), Brandon Arndt, Alyssa Voigt (Scott), Ryan Fortmann , Libby Rentmeester (McPherson) Great grandmother to Amber, Cory, & Zachary Smid, Ali, Kaylyn, & Lindsay Sinkula, Samantha & Emily Smid, Abigal Darnell, Carter & Emma Darnell, Brady & Carson Darnell, Lylah & Beckett Voigt. Also, survived by nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband Earl Sr.of 71 years, son, Earl Jr. and mother Lila Town Brogle. Nancy was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Nashotah when she was 11 years old. She attended schools in Oconomowoc and graduated from Oconomowoc High School, with honors, in 1936. She graduated from Stephen’s College in 1938 and married Earl in 1940 at St. Jerome Church. Nancy belonged to the Catholic Women’s Club, Oconomowoc Women’s Club, Oconomowoc Theatre Guild, St. Jerome Home & School Association, LaBelle Golf Club, and Oconomowoc Homemakers Group. The family wishes to give heartfelt thanks to the staff at Three Pillars in Dousman. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oconomowoc Arts Center or Oconomowoc Scholarship Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visitation for family and friends will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday January 28, 2016 at St Jerome Catholic Church, 995 S. Silver Lake St., Oconomowoc, WI. A memorial mass for Nancy will be held 11:00 a.m. Internment to follow at St. Jerome Cemetery.
