Norman W. Soergel

Norman W. Soergel, 95 of Dousman, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014. He is survived by his children Jacob (Susan) Soergel, Gretchen (David) Considine, Heidi Soergel and Becca (Bruno) John, grandchildren Dan, Kelly, Erin, Peggy, Jennifer, Jake, Aaron, Sam, Roger, Jessica, Brian, Emily, Ben and Alex, great-grandchildren Megan, Abby, Isaac, Isaiah, Cooper, Quinn, Lane, Micah, McKenzie, Joseph and sister Shirley Hecht along with other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Soergel, parents Norman and Florence, son Scott, brother Edwin and sister Jane. Norman was raised in Glenview, IL and began working on the railroad in 1941. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1942 and served as a B-24 pilot. His love of flying continued throughout his life. Norman and his son Jake owned and flew a TaylorCraft. He was a devoted family man who loved his wife Mary with whom he taught their children to love camping and the outdoors. Norman enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Funeral service for Norman will be held at First Congregational Church of Oconomowoc on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 12:00 PM, with a luncheon to follow in the church fellowship hall.
