Paul C. Goetzke

Paul C. Goetzke, age 78, of Oconomowoc, WI, passed away suddenly, surrounded by family on Saturday, September 24, 2016. Paul is survived by his loving wife Sandy of 55 years; his children Debra (Mark) Solveson, Tami Farber and Lori (Paul) Gerovac; his grandchildren Brock, Samantha, Stacey, Heidi, Zachariah and Courtney and his great grandchildren Spencer, Elliott and Jordan. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Nancy Eggers. Paul was a loving husband, father, grandpa and a great papa. He was known and loved for his joke telling and sense of humor; which he never lost in his last two years of declining health. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Church and school, served on the school board and played on the dart ball team. Paul was a past president and member of the Oconomowc Lion's Club. He owned the Oconomowoc SIgn Company for 26 years. Paul and Sandy enjoyed traveling and spending time with their family and friends. Paul lived at the Goetzke Homestead on Elm Street his entire life. He slept in the bedroom he was born in. Services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (210 E Pleasant St, Oconomowoc, WI) on Wednesday, September 28. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 PM until 5 PM with a service at 5 PM. A private family burial will be held the following day at St. Olaf's Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Paul's name to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the donors choice. The family would like to give special thanks to all the EMT's, patrons, staff and owners of Tom and Di's Rustic Inn. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a kind-hearted and wonderful man.
