Phyllis Elaine Lawrence

Phyllis E. Lawrence was called to Heaven on March 13th at the age of 90. She passed away peacefully at her Home at Wilkenson Woods in Oconomowoc, WI.

Phyllis grew up in Northern Wisconsin and graduated from Rhinelander High School. Shortly after, she married Larry Lawrence and they recently celebrated their 70th Anniversary. Together they had three children, Michael (Paula Lasage), Lynn (Randy Bree), Steven (Jennifer).

Throughout her life, Phyllis enjoyed getting together with friends, gardening, reading, and bible study. She is survived by her husband, three children, six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

A celebration of her life will be held later this year when her cremains will be scattered on the Farm she was raised. Phyllis has found the comfort she prayed for in the arms of the Lord.

My Golden Angel (To Phyllis)

I met a Golden Angel once, Not with wings, you understand, But the love that shone from out her heart, Was every bit as grand.

I took her by her dainty hand, She looked deep in my eyes, ‘til I knew the love that started then, Came straight down from the skies.

Oh, we could tell that moment then, That this was meant to be. Since then I’ve search for means to tell, Just what she means to me.

But I have learned to be content, And presently I’ve found, That her love is more a treasure, Than all the world around.

And so I pen these feeble lines, To ask of Him above, His blessings on His Golden Angel, And too, upon our love.
