Raymond Kraut

Raymond Kraut of Watertown, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown at the age of 79. He was born in Alderly, WI to Caney and Madline (nee Manning) Kraut on February 20, 1931. He spent most of his early years growing up in Monterey and Ashippun area. The family moved to a farm near Palmyra in 1943, after his father and mother passed away; he went to Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown at the age of 25 in 1955. He has been there until his death. Raymond is survived by his twin sister, Rosetta (Philip) Bealhen and brother Dale Kraut, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Kraut, sisters Alice Hanson, Betty Pagenkopf and Bonnie Lutz, brothers-in-law Doug Hanson, Erhard (Pinky) Pagenkopf and Winfield (Doc) Lutz. Funeral services for Ray will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Bethesda Lutheran Communities Home, 700 Hoffman Drive, Watertown, WI in the chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will follow the service at LaBelle Cemetery, Oconomowoc, WI.
