Pastor Don Ray Gephart, age 82, of Oconomowoc peacefully joined the presence of God on Monday, May 18th, 2015. Don is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Phyllis, Sister Jean Emmons of Centreville, VA, children Paul (Lori) Gephart of Gulf Breeze, FL, Tim (Gail) Gephart of Mayville, WI, Mark (Glinda) Gephart of Oconomwoc, WI, and Joel (Laura) Gephart of Oconomowoc, WI. Pastor Gephart was the Grandfather to Kelly Gephart Smith, Paul (Jessica) Gephart, Jessica (Tom) Lamirand, Kassie Gephart, and Kyle Gephart. Pastor Gephart was also the Great-Grandfather to Sawyer, Tatum, and Kenadie Smith, Sam and Elsa Lamirand, and Colten Gephart. Pastor Gephart was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Leoan Gephart along with his brother, Billie Gephart. On November 22nd, 1951, Don married his high school sweetheart, Phyllis Landis Gephart, in Miamisburg, OH. Lead by the word of God, Don and Phyllis moved to St. Paul Minnesota where Don attended and graduated from St. Paul Bible College. Upon graduation, Don and Phyllis went on to Pastor Churches in South Dakota, Michigan, and Ohio before moving to Oconomowoc, Wisconsin in 1970 to lead the congregation of Alliance Bible Church. In 1985, Don and Phyllis followed God and returned to Ohio to pastor Churches in Wadsworth and Willard before returning to Wisconsin in 2000 where he became the Pastor of Counseling and Adult Ministries for nearly 15 years. Pastor Gephart was a very talented artist, using mediums of pen & ink, paint, watercolors and chalk. He employed his hobby of sleight of hand/magic to further his ministry. He was always happy to pull a quarter out of your ear….. Pastor Gephart will be dearly missed by his family and by all that knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held at Crosspoint Community Church W380N6931 N Lake Rd Oconomowoc WI 53066 on Sunday May 31, 2015. Visitation will be from 3pm to 5pm, the Memorial Service will be at 5:00 pm. Memorials may be sent to Crosspoint Community Church.
