Richard Douglas Tweedie, age 59 Born July 15, 1955, died January 15, 2015 Beloved son of Edwin C. Tweedie and the late Henrietta Herndon Tweedie; fabulous brother of Lynne A. (Christopher J. Wurster) Tweedie, Nancy (John) Nagy, Carol (Chuck) Burdick, Helen H. Wightman, the late Kate D. Tweedie and Joy Alice Tweedie; much loved uncle of Adam, Peter and Mark Nagy, Celsea and Stacey Wurster, Dylan and Cori Alice Burdick; cousin and friend to many. Richard lived a life full of avocations, work, family and friends. Following his graduation from Wheaton North High School, Richard earned a BA in Business at Northland College, Ashland WI, in 1977. In Colorado, Richard worked as a salesman for Posy Windows and Pioneer Development and later in Maryland for Alcoa. In recent years he has resided in Dousman WI, working for PlyGem Building Products as Territory Sales Manager who honored him as PlyGem Salesman of the Year in 2011 and recently celebrated his 30th anniversary with the company. Richard enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, bike riding and spending time on the beach in Pentwater MI. His constant companion of recent years was his Shih Tzu, Toby, the best-loved dog in all of Waukesha County. Richard was a very fine photographer and leaves behind many iconic images of those he loved or admired. Richard will be remembered for his sense of humor, business acumen, extensive knowledge of popular music, electronics wizardry, kindness and love for friends and family. Services and reception will be held Sunday at 1:00 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, 715 Carlton St., Wheaton, IL 60187.
