Robert J. Aubry

Passed away peacefully with family at his side on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the age of 69 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc. Bob was the childhood sweetheart of Linda when they met in 1964 and were married in 1968. They spent 52 years together and Bob spent all those years faithfully at Linda's side as her support, her rock, her soulmate and best friend. Bob is additionally survived by his loving siblings Mary (Mike) Duchateau, Nancy (Duane) Kriescher, Peggy (Dan) Becker and Kent (Nicole) Aubry. Bob and Linda are the proud guardians of their four legged companion Kayte. Dear uncle of nephews and great nephews and nieces. Cherished nephew of Art (Maryann) Clermont. Bob, a retiree of U.S. Filter Corporation as VP of Manufacturing and Global Procurement enjoyed many outdoor activities, especially fishing on the Menominee River and Oconomowoc Lake. In his earlier years he was active in fast pitch baseball with Rexnord, golfing, bowling and playing basketball. Even after his long career he continued to pursue his business aspirations and acted as a consultant to help several companies expand their manufacturing business. Bob's career served him well as in his personal life his attention to detail and his caring nature helped him to constantly care for and take care of his wife Linda. Even until the very end he never wanted to be the center of attention and just take care of those around him, especially in the last few years when his battle with cancer began. The following writing certainly speaks of his outlook; Do not stand at My Grave And Weep. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am Not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints of snow. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush, of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there I did not die. Bob's wishes were to not have a formal service take place. The family will have a private service. For those wishing to make a contribution in his memory, please do so to the American Cancer Society.
