Robert "Jeff" Ludwig

Robert “Jeff” Ludwig, age 76, passed away surrounded by his family who loved him dearly on February 14, 2024. He was born on May 1, 1947, in Milwaukee, WI, to his loving parents, Robert and Mary Ludwig (nee Bliss).

Jeff is survived by his siblings Terry (Maryanne), Judi (d: Bruce) VonHofmann, Jeanne Kolb, and Daniel; sister-in-law Lynn Augur; along with nieces and nephews Anne Maree, Michael (Marianne), Tom (Lori), Jennifer, Brent (Amber), Courtney (Tyler), Christopher (Kelsey); goddaughter Leah; and many other family and friends.

Jeff is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; his parents; and brother Timothy.

In his earlier years, Jeff attended St. Rose Catholic School in Milwaukee and Catholic Memorial High School before transferring to Brookfield East High School. He later pursued higher education at the University of Oshkosh, where he gained valuable knowledge before being drafted into the U.S. Army.

Jeff was a man of many interests and talents. He had a genuine love for horses and spent many cherished moments riding and caring for them. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors, particularly through his love for fishing and playing cards and golf with his dear friends. Jeff also found excitement behind the wheel, indulging in his need for speed by cruising in his beloved GTO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of your choice in Jeff’s name would be welcome.

A special thank you to Lynn and Spike Augur for the countless hours of loving care and compassion they provided to Jeff.

A visitation for Jeff will take place on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (NEW LOCATION: 2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 10:30am-11:30am. Jeff will be laid to rest next to Nancy following the visitation at Summit Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
