Robert W. Buetow

Robert W. Buetow, age 93, of Oconomowoc, WI, went to his Eternal Home on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Robert is survived by his children Nancy (Jim) Jones, Judy (Dan) Gotter, Jim (MaryAnn) Buetow and Jane (Rick) Schmid; his grandchildren Jenny, Jessie, Steve, Grant, Bill, Chris, Ashley, Missy and Erik and his 9 great grandchildren. Robert is preceded in death by his wife Florence of 62 years, Robert served as a rifleman in 1st Infantry of 6th Division in WWII in the U.S. Army. He earned the bronze battle star for 3 major campaigns. He served in Hawaii, New Guinea and Luzon for 27 months. Robert also received the Purple Heart for wounds incurred in action on Luzon, Philippine Islands. Robert enjoyed many hobbies including model railroading, rollerblading, wood carving, drawing and painting. Services for Robert will be on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church (W240 N3103 Pewaukee Road Pewaukee, WI 53072) at 11:00 AM. A visitation for family and friends will start at 10:00 AM with a burial to follow at Glenview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church or Lutheran Special Schools.
