Robert Wendell Sutton

Robert Wendell Sutton, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on April 21, 2023 and was eternally reunited with his wife of 65 years, Mary Sutton.

Survived by his son David (Julie) Sutton and his daughter Kris (Ian) Miller, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

The son of a lawman and one of four boys, Robert was born and raised in Nebraska where he had many treasured childhood memories. After high school graduation, Robert moved to Milwaukee to start his 45 year career in banking. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Stenographer and often shared his stories from those years. He loved crossword puzzles, watercolor painting, fishing, and birdwatching.

Robert will be buried at Sarasota National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association.
