Roberta Schaefer

Roberta Schaefer passed away so peacefully thanks to Allay Home Hospice and Three Pillars exceptional care. Matthew Schaefer and his fiancé Shawnee Griepentrog grieve for his mom. She is survived by Mother Barbara Ewald, sister Rebecca Sprague (Dale Maas), nephew Damian Wendorf and family, Aunt Gloria Sprague, step brothers Craig (Jan) Ewald, Brian (Betty) Ewald, Dan (Patty) Ewald, Tom (Michelle) Ewald, step sister Kelly Conway Mauer, Cousins James (Sherri) Krause, Diane (Al) Hubing and family, Richard Widuch and family, Kathy Janazewski and family. She is proceeded in death by her father Emil Ewald and grandparents Marie and LeRoy Mahnke.

Roberta dedicated her life to the Catholic Church, retiring from St. Teresa of Calcutta recently. She donated her time at the Holy Hill art festivals, Women of Christ Conferences, Redemptorist Retreat Center in Summit, and added flair to the Royal Divas. Her passion for genealogy will be enjoyed for generations. Roberta was a docent at the Oconomowoc Historical Society. Her tireless volunteer hours will be blessed in Heaven.

She loved the Packers and would be at almost every training camp with her son Matt giving up his bike to the players. Wisconsin sports and family gatherings were her pastime.

Visitation will be held 12:00-1:00 p.m. on October 30 at St Teresa of Calcutta in North Lake. Mass will directly follow at 1:00 p.m. Guests are invited to gather for lunch following the funeral service served by St. Vincent DePaul volunteers. Following the luncheon, Roberta will be laid to rest in St. Joan of Arc Cemetery, Oconomowoc WI.
