Roland A. Voigt

Roland A. Voigt, age 90 of Ashippun, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Roland is survived by his two sons Gary (Donna) Voigt and Larry (Lori) Voigt, grandchildren; Joshua (Rebecca) Voigt, Matthew (Lindsey) Voigt, Maggie (Ross) Braun, Ashley (Nick) VanderMolen and Katie (Mitch) Solveson, great-grandchildren; Porter, Lane and Ava Voigt, Johnny and Remmington Voigt, Duke Braun and Keira VanderMolen. Roland is also survived by one sister Dolores Wittnebel and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his first wife Edna Voigt (1955) and his second wife Mildred Voigt in 2008, brother Melvin, sisters Lorraine Hellerman, Florence Horst, Ione Otto and one granddaughter, Maria Edna Voigt. Roland was a member of the Ashippun Fire Department since the early 1940's and was the Ashippun Fire Chief for two years. He was a truck driver for Roundy's for 27 years. Roland was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Ashippun. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services for Roland will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ashippun on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service with burial to follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roland's name can be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church building fund or to the Ashippun Fire Department.
