Ronald Toepfer

Ronald Lee Toepfer, age 77 of the Town of Ixonia, passed away surrounded by family, into the loving arms of his Lord on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty (nee Kampa) Toepfer, his son Rick (Mary Jo) Toepfer, daughter Kelli (John) Stewart and son Jeff Toepfer, his eight grandchildren: Cassie, Cole and Sammi Toepfer, Halli, Brodi and Baili Stewart, Seth and Kerrisa Toepfer, his brother-in-law Jerry (Faye) Kampa, sister-in-law Suzanne Schmidt along with many other close friends and family members. Born in Milwaukee, the son of Howard and Lucille Toepfer, he has been a lifelong resident of Wisconsin in the areas surrounding Milwaukee. After high school he served in the U.S. Marines. Following that, he made a career in industrial sales. He was also an active member at Dr. Martin Luther Church. He loved his family and enjoyed many memorable years spending time with them swimming and skiing on Golden Lake, grilling out and shooting off fireworks on the fourth of July, among some of the many activities. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Joan Richter. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given to Dr. Martin Luther Church Seeds of Hope Fund in Oconomowoc. The family would like to thank Pagenkopf Funeral Home for their assistance during this time. A memorial service for Ronald will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017. Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM, all to take place at Dr. Martin Luther Church in Oconomowoc.
