Roy F. Hansen

Roy F. Hansen, age 92, of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Roy is survived by his children Chris (Deke) Tower, Bradley (Monica) Hansen, Daniel (Bonnie) Hansen, Andi (Bob) Maki, Kim (Robert) Donius, RoyF. (Kathy) Hansen, Peter (Trish) Hansen, and Patrick Hansen; his grandchildren Chrisdel, Rebecca, and Shane Tower, Chad (Kristin) and Matt (Katie) Hansen, Heather (Tim) Wittkopp, Jennifer (Frank) Schwefel, Kristin (Steve) Fuller, Amber (Josh) Bauman, Ty, Casey (Evelyn) and Cody Maki, Alise (Dan) Strawn, Luke (Kate) Donius, Hansen and Jake Donius, Amalie (Philipp) Hunger, Nick (Rebecca Chars) Hansen, Dugan and Tess Hansen; his great grandchildren Zealand, Kamden, and Remington Stokloza, Reese and Riley Hansen, Kaden and Carson Wittkopp, Cole and Chase Schwefel, Derek, Madisyn, Jacksyn, and Emma Fuller, Drake and Finley Bauman, Tiago and Rafael Maki, Stella and Ada Strawn, and Theo Hunger; and his siblings Wilma Hill, Eileen Marshall, Norman (Fay) Hansen, and Annette Byrnes. Roy is preceded in death by his loving wife Elizabeth Hansen. Roy will be remembered for the countless poems he wrote for many special occasions. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, swimming, and golf. He was a life-long learner, community activist, and an enthusiast of all sports. He was an avid free throw shooter and was known for making 30 out of 30 shots with half of them with his eyes closed. Most importantly, Roy was a loving and caring father to his 8 children. A visitation for Roy will be held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (1165 E. Summit Ave, Oconomowoc) on Saturday, September 30, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with a service to follow at 11:00 am.
