Ruth Runholm

Ruth Runholm (nee Bjoin) age 95 of Three Pillars in Dousman, formerly of Waupun, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2014. Ruth is survived by her loving daughter Kathryn (Dan) Beers with their children Kati (Mike) Smith and great grandsons Spencer and Owen. Her grand daughter Betsy (Todd) Schneider and great grandsons Jackson and Beckett. Her grandson Joshua (Kirstin) Tice and great grandchildren Carter and Adia and her grand daughter Andrea Tice along with her daughter in law Joyce Duran. She is preceded in death by her husband Gene 'Sonny' Runholm, her daughter Laura Tice and her son Paul Runholm. A celebration of Ruth's life will be held at the Ewald Chapel at Three Pillars in Dousman on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 9:30 AM with friends and family gathering at 9:00 AM. Memorials are suggested to A Giving Heart Foundation (850 West Jackson Blvd. Suite 575 Chicago, IL 60607). She graduated from Northland College and was selected as a distinguished alumni. Most of her career was spent in Waupun, teaching Junior High English. During her life, Ruth lived in Park Falls, Baraboo, Waupun, Delta, Tucson and lately Dousman, Wherever she lived, she volunteered and gave back to her community, church, schools and family. Her passion during her retirement was embracing the Wisconsin North Woods and her beloved Kern Lake. The way Ruth lived her life, impacted the lives of many. Her wit and wisdom will be missed by all who knew her.
