Sandra Ann Stanton

Sandra Ann Stanton, beloved mother, friend, and cherished member of her community, passed away on October 14, 2024, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, at the age of 80. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Sandy was the daughter of Irene (Tooley) Juckem and Thomas Juckem, both of whom preceded her in death.

Sandy is survived by her cherished son, Matthew Stanton, and his partner, Colette Brown, of Brooklyn, New York, as well as her step-granddaughter, Lexi Greenberg. She shared a deep and loving kinship with the Baha'i community, where she found spiritual nourishment and fulfillment through the principles of unity, harmony between science and religion, and the progressive revelation of God's will through Baha'u'llah and other messengers.

A woman of many talents, Sandy ran her parents' Vacuum Cleaner Shop in Milwaukee before earning her real estate broker's license in the 1980s. She later found her way into sales with Steinhafels and Ashley Furniture. Her last professional chapter was managing Blackhawk Ridge Senior Apartments in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, a role she enjoyed before retiring to Jefferson, where she became a dedicated cat mom to her beloved Sweetie.

Sandy's life was filled with creativity and artistic expression. She was passionate about crafting and designing artworks and custom clothing, which she proudly showcased at art fairs across Southeastern Wisconsin. Her warmth and vibrant spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community, but her legacy of love, faith, and creativity will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.

O my God! This is Thy handmaiden and the Daughter of Thy handmaiden who hath believed in Thee and in Thy signs, and set her face towards Thee, wholly detached from all except Thee. Thou art, verily, of those who show mercy the most merciful.

Deal with her, O Thou Who forgivest the sins of men and concealest their faults, as beseemeth the heaven of Thy bounty and the ocean of Thy grace. Grant her admission within the precincts of Thy transcendent mercy that was before the foundation of earth and heaven. There is no God but Thee, the Ever-Forgiving, the Most Generous.

We all, verily, worship God.

We all, verily, bow down before God.

We all, verily, are devoted unto God.

We all, verily, give praise unto God.

We all, verily, yield thanks unto God.

We all, verily, are patient in God.

--Baha'u'llah
