Sarah Lay

Sarah Elizabeth Lay died on July 21, 2019. Sarah died with her grandmother, and namesake, Elizabeth Jeanne Leif. Sarah is survived by her loving parents Brandon and Megan (Leif) Lay, her brother Zach and sister Genna, her Paternal Grandparents, Linda Lay and Paul Lay, Aunts and Uncles: Dave and Noel Leif (cousins, Hannah, Niklaus and Eric), Scott and Maureen Leif (cousins Addison, Gabrielle, and Camryn), Courtney Lay, Adam and Krissy Lay (cousins Hailey and Jasmine). She was preceded in death by her Papa, Jerome L. Leif who died April 22, 2019. Sarah was going into third grade at Wrightstown Elementary and was a loving and funny classmate who loved her friends and teachers. Sarah, or monkey, as she was called affectionately, because she loved to climb things, always had a hug and nobody was a stranger. Sarah wanted to be a teacher when she grew up. She loved the singer Darius Rucker and his song “wagon wheel”. Sarah was always quick to make a joke and light up a room and was always seen wearing a (sometimes toothless) smile. Her favorite color was purple. Services are being held at St Joan of Arc, 120 Nashotah Rd, Nashotah, WI 53058 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and a mass at 12:00 p.m. and a meal afterwards at Ironwood Golf Course.
