Shirley J. Skore

Shirley J. Skore, 97, of Sullivan, passed away in her sleep September 13, 2018 at Sunset Ridge Assisted Living center in Johnson Creek. Shirley is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey (Judy) Skore of Waukesha, and Bryan (Janice) Patterson-Skore of Ixonia, and daughter Kim (the late John) Steinbach of Watertown. She is also survived by three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one on his way, five step great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Skore, her brother Harry (Bud) Reichgeld, sister-in-law Rosemary Reichgeld, son-in-law John Steinbach, parents and stepmother, four nephews, and many wonderful friends. Shirley lived on Moose Lake in Stone Bank, until she moved to Sullivan twenty-one years ago. If you’re gifted with 97 years of life, you’ve witnessed amazing discoveries, endured countless tragedies, loved and lost more than most, and for Shirley, who was still living on her own and driving at 96, was grateful for every day. Shirley’s family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to the loving staff and caregivers of Sunset Ridge Assisted Living in Johnson Creek for the wonderful care and encouragement that Shirley received. Although she lived there less than six months, she found friends at every turn. Per Shirley’s request, there will be no funeral. A private burial will take place on Monday, September 17, at Gardens of Stone Bank.
