She attended McKinley Grade School, graduated from Elgin High School in 1949 and Beloit College in 1953. She was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. Sue resided for most of her life in Wheaton, Illinois and most recently in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin near her daughter. She was a beloved teacher for the Wheaton School District for over 30 years, where she influenced countless children. She is survived by her children Steve (Joni Puopolo) Lasecki, Katie (Sam Manavis) Casey and Ann (Jim) Devonald. Throughout her life Sue had lasting friendships with people of all ages. She will be remembered for her sharp wit, her sense of humor and her ability to provide the perfect bit of sage advice in any situation. She had a great love for the absurd. She never lost these qualities through out her illness and was pragmatic to the end. Sue's family will always be grateful to Karen, Linda, Kirsten and Julie who provided such loving tender care to her in her final weeks. They are our Angels. Please join Sue's family for a Celebration of Life at the Wildwood Restaurant (477 S 3rd St, Geneva, Illinois 60137) on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. An open house will be from 12pm - 4pm.
