Johnson Creek, WI - Susan Josephine (Jo) Seibert, age 93, of Johnson Creek, WI, formerly of Rochester, MN, died peacefully, September 26, 2023, at The View Assisted Living Facility in Johnson Creek, WI.
Jo was born in Mt. Clemens, MI, on August 28, 1930, to John “Johnny” and Flora Santangelo, and was raised in Pitcairn, PA. She married her high school sweetheart, Clair Seibert, on March 4, 1950. In 1957, Jo and Clair moved to Rochester, MN, where they lived for 46 years, raised their three children and were members of Homestead United Methodist Church. Jo was a masterful host with a loving, generous spirit and an infectious laugh. She loved entertaining and preparing memorable meals for friends and family. She was a founding member of the “Dainty Dozen” and official “cabin fairy” of North Spot Lodge in Nevis, MN. Jo enjoyed traveling, flowers, birdwatching, spending winters in Florida with Clair and trips to Disney World with her family. With a generous heart, Jo donated to several causes that were dear to her. She had a passion for Wisconsin sports, bingo, card games, slot machines and she was one lucky lady. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, sharing in a good laugh.
Jo was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her three children, Kathy (David) Bergemann; Ken Seibert, and Keith (Marcia) Seibert, eight grandchildren, Zac (Becky) Bergemann, Tony (Jaime) Bergemann, Kelly (Tom) Walsh, Kim Seibert, Nicki (Alisha) Seibert, Jodi (Matt) Cossitt, Amy (Eugene) Seibert and Angela (Justin) Robinette and 19 great-grandchildren, Jenna, Emily, Brayden, Molly, Cody, Jace, Tomasz, Peter, Aleks, Sam, Ben, Josie, Sophie, Tessa, Ethan, Eva, Ella, Louie and Teddy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair, two sisters, Jeannie and Anna Mae, mother, Flora and step-father, Walter Martz.
Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. on October 3 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home in Oconomowoc, WI. Funeral services will directly follow at 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Guests are invited to gather for lunch following the funeral service at. Following the luncheon, Jo will be laid to rest in Ottawa Cemetery in Ottawa, WI.
