Susan Rae Torgerson

Susan Rae Torgerson, age 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, surrounded by her “family” and friends. She was born on September 30, 1943 in Milwaukee to Wayne and Frances (Rudolph) Thompson. Susan was an important part of Dave and Sharon Stuckey’s life and their families. She will be missed by their children-Scott, Michelle, Blake and Brian; as well as Dave and Sharon’s 13 grandchildren, whom she treated as her own. She thoroughly enjoyed pampering everyone’s pets, especially the Stuckey families’ dogs. Susan was a teacher at Orchard Lane Elementary School in the New Berlin School District for 40 years. She also enjoyed her Monday night tennis ladies group and her exercise classes, especially her Zumba class at the Life Enrichment Center. Susan was also an avid traveler and especially enjoyed her European trips and Door County trips with Sharon, “her best friend.” Susan was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need-donating school supplies to needy students, giving Christmas presents to children in need and bringing a smile to friend’s faces with meals and treats. To honor Susan’s generous heart, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Jude’s Research Hospital. A private service will be held at a later date to celebrate Susan’s life.
