Terry Francis Livingston (1940-2025)
Retired Staff Sergeant, Terry Francis Livingston, 84, of Dousman, Wisconsin, died at Zilber Family Hospice on February 13, 2025 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1940 to Francis Livingston and Ethel (Espick) Livingston-Spaeth, and grew up in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Terry attended Oconomowoc High School before joining the Army after high school.
A proud veteran, Terry served 21 years in the Army, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant before his retirement in 1979. He served in the 6th Transportation Battalion during the Vietnam War. While serving his country, he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal and The Meritorious Service Medal.
Terry met his beloved wife Carol of almost 60 years at a family reunion that her friends invited her to so they could introduce them. The rest was history and they married soon afterwards. They spent their early years moving with the military and raising their four children between the United States and Germany. They made their permanent home in Dousman, Wisconsin soon after Terry retired from the military.
In Terry’s civilian life, he worked as a machinist for Custom Products until he retired after 20 years. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing during his retirement along with a good word search.
Terry was preceded in death by his mother and step-father Ethel (Espick) Spaeth & Eugene Spaeth, mother in-law and father in-law Irene (Block) Winzenburg & Edward Winzenburg, sister in-law Nancy (Winzenburg) Follmann. He is survived by his wife Carol (Winzenburg) Livingston, son John Livingston and daughter in-law Ruth (Mair) Livingston, daughters Terri Anne Livingston, Christine (Livingston) Wertz and Jenny (Livingston) Gremminger. His six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Sister in-law and brother in-law Judy (Winzenburg) & Richard Laabs, sister in-law Linda (Winzenburg) Schutte and brother in-law Darryl (Tommy) Winzenburg. As well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation is being held on Saturday, March 8th from 2pm – 4pm at Pagenkopf Funeral Home in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made in Terry’s name to Zilber Hospice Care or a veteran’s organization of choice.
