Theodore “Ted” Graf, 56, of Oconomowoc, WI passed away peacefully on January 15, 2022 with the love of his life and soulmate, Nancy, and his loving brother, Tim by his side. Ted Graf was born on May 14, 1965 to Tom and Beverly Graf. He grew up in an old farmhouse with his parents and brothers. He attended Kettle Moraine Schools and graduated in 1983. After high school, he began his 30 year career as a heating and cooling technician becoming a certificated HVAC tech working at GERO Heating and then for Hanson Heating in Nashotah, WI. Ted is the 4th generation of heating and cooling men in the Graf family, eventually starting his own business called 4th Generation Heating and Air. Ted was very talented in his field and enjoyed working with people. Ted was so proud of starting his own business, and becoming a successful small business owner. He took pride in his workmanship. He was honest and fair and never let anyone down. Ted loved to go camping. His favorite spot was Wyalusing State Park in Prairie Du Chien, WI. Taking many trips in their travel trailer with Nancy and sometimes with their many family members and friends. His other enjoyment was ice fishing. He had the most amazing ice shanty on Golden Lake and hosted an annual fishing get together with his friends. This annual party was Ted’s Super Bowl. There were some pretty nice fish caught that sometimes won prizes at Golden Lake Pub. He would set up everything on the ice, grilling food and even included a bonfire on the ice. Everyone that knew Ted will say that he had the biggest heart in the world. Many calling him Teddy, as if he was their lovable teddy bear. He was a very funny guy, great sense of humor and always made everyone laugh. Ted loved all of his many family and friends deeply, and would always be there any time anyone needed him. He was a big part of so many lives, and will be sadly missed by everyone that knew him. Ted is survived by his partner of 26 years and love of his life, Nancy Hanson (nee Nowak). Also survived by his father, Thomas Graf; brother, Tim (Ann) Graf; niece, Jackie Graf; nephew, Thomas “Tommy” (Noel) Graf; step-dad to Mike “Mikey” Hanson Jr., Matthew “Matt” (Lisa) Hanson, and Max Hanson; four step-grandchildren, Sadie, Emily, Leonardo “Leo”, Victoria “Tory”; also survived by many family and friends that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Graf; brother, Terry Graf; and his beloved dogs, Buddy and Sid. A celebration of life will be held for Ted this summer. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
