Theresa "Teri" Ann Otto

Our treasured mother, sister and friend, Theresa ‘Teri’ Ann Otto, passed away peacefully with her loving children by her side, on October 22, 2024 at Angel’s Grace in Oconomowoc. Teri was born on May 10, 1966 in Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Gary Kenton and Arlynn Ann (Westlind) Bischke. She grew up in Waukesha, graduating from Waukesha North in 1984. After a whirlwind courtship, Teri married her soulmate, Wayne Allen Otto on June 14, 1997 in Pewaukee. He preceded her in death on August 14, 2005. Three beloved children were born to this union, Wolfgang, Angela, and Morgan.

In 1996, Teri began working for her parents at Outdoor Outfitters in Waukesha, the company they started in 1976. She and Wayne continued running the business after her parents’ deaths in 1998. Teri loved going thrifting, reading, playing Pokémon Go at all hours of the day, and a recent favorite was collecting and tumbling rocks with her children. Her generosity to others knew no bounds.

Teri will be immensely missed but she will live on in the hearts of those that survive her. Her children, Wolfgang, Angela and Morgan; sister, Lisa (Tom) Neumann; parents-in-law, Lawrence and Barbara Otto; aunts and uncles and friends. Her family is very thankful for the compassion and encompassing care that Teri received at Angel’s Grace. Donations to The Redeem and Restore Center, The Women’s Center in Waukesha or Lake Area Free Clinic in memory of Teri is appreciated.

A visitation to celebrate Teri’s life will take place on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (NEW LOCATION: 2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 11:00AM-1:00PM with a service to follow. Teri will be buried at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in a private family ceremony.
