Thomas J. Volkmann

Thomas J. Volkmann, age 79, of Auburndale, FL, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 14, 2017. Tom is survived by his loving wife Catherine of 31 years; his children Debbie (Kurt) Hendrick, Eric (Nancy) Volkmann, Ann Volkmann, Katie (Neal) Ellenberg, and Tammy (Mark) Lewis; his grandchildren Erin and Annie Hendrick, Alex Volkmann, Trevor and Holly Ellenberg and Rebecca Volkmann and his great grandchildren VanLuke and Kurt Hendrick, Braden Hendrick and Chloe Lundy and Danielle, Matthew, Sean and Kourtney Reicher along with many family and friends. Tom is preceded in death by his brother Jerry (Kathy) and grandson Allen Wachowiak. Tom served in the Navy Reserves for six years. He began his career at Allis Chalmers as a mechanical engineer earning his professional engineer status with recognition from the State of Wisconsin. He designed and invented equipment for the military and space programs. A Funeral Mass for Tom will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church (226 W Ottawa Ave, Dousman) on Saturday, May 27 at 11 am. Family and friends are invited for a visitation starting at 9 am.
