Thomas Joseph Franklin

Thomas Joseph Franklin passed peacefully away on October 17th, 2019 after a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer surrounded by his wife and children at Summit Hospital. He was born on September 11th, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois to Margaret and Earl Franklin. Tom is survived by his wife Terri of 32 years, children MaryKate and Timothy as well as his sisters Peggy Stecky (Dan), Marie McAuliffe (Dan), his brothers Patrick and Danny as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Michael Franklin; and sister, Kathleen Arvitis. Tom loved his family, he had a great sense of humor, he enjoyed going out in his pontoon boat on Lake Okauchee. He worked for FIS enjoyed his work and all his co-workers and the opportunities his job gave him like living in Hawaii for 2 ½ years. The service will be held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home on Saturday, October 26th. The visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and a short service will be held at 11:00 am. Following that will be a Celebration of Life to be held at the Okauchee Lions Club, lunch will be provided. We would like to thank all of the staff at Summit Hospital for their compassion and loving care provided to Tom. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s name to the American Cancer Society.
