Victoria "Vicky" Frerichs Spaulding

Victoria “Vicky” Frerichs Spaulding, age 81, of Oconomowoc, found comfort with the Lord on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. She was born in Washington, Illinois on January 16, 1944, to Bill and Lill Frerichs.

Vicky had an idyllic childhood, growing up in Eureka, Illinois as the oldest of three special sisters. She attended college at the University of Illinois and graduated from UW-Oshkosh. Her career began as a dedicated Kindergarten teacher in Green Lake, Wisconsin and transitioned to working in the golf business, at Lawsonia Golf Course with her first husband Tom Spaulding Sr. Vicky’s passion was playing golf, allowing her to spend time with friends, family, and staff members at Kettle Moraine Golf Club, where she was the owner for over 30 years. You could also find her at Broadlands Golf Club with her son Andy, where both are founding partners. She spent winters in Naples, Florida for almost two decades, with her late second husband Art Lyle, where she enjoyed socializing with friends and family, water aerobics at the pool, and volunteering at Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church. She was a wonderful singer who played the piano and was musical just like her sisters. Her social calendar was usually full of concerts, festivals, plays, and dinners out. She was a vibrant and outgoing person who enjoyed being active and had a smile for everyone.

Vicky was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her favorite people were those in her family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored and loved to bake with. She lived a full life and always stayed close to her sisters, parents, nieces, nephews and other family members. We are grateful that she is now at peace and able to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Vicky is survived by her beloved children Andy (Tonya) Spaulding and Tom Spaulding Jr., her wonderful grandchildren Cole (Caitlin), Anna, Henry, Sadie, and Charlie Spaulding and her brand new great-grandaughter Tatum Spaulding. She is also survived by her loving sisters Billie Yaeger and Sally Rice and her stepchildren Cindy (Ed) Strahota, Mike (Eileen) Lyle, and Debbie (Kurt) Kristensen. Vicky was preceded in death by her devoted husband Arthur G. Lyle and her cherished parents Bill and Lill Frerichs.

A funeral service for Vicky will be held on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 at 12:00 PM with a visitation for family and friends starting at 10:00 AM until the time of the service at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 2228 North Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066.
