Viola Torgerson

Viola I. Torgerson, age 103 of Oconomowoc, entered her loving Savior's arms on Monday, March 5, 2012 surrounded by her family. Vi is survived by her children Joann Jefson of Lake Wilson, MN and Eugene (Wava) Torgerson of Oconomowoc, grandchildren Julie (Duane) Wandersee, Kathryn (Richard) Wentland, Mark Torgerson, Dave (Michele) Torgerson and Jim (Gina) Torgerson, 14 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren, with 2 on the way, along with other relatives and friends. Vi was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, husband Erling, son-in-law Marvin Jefson and granddaughters Karen Wandersee and Dena Zarbano. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Shorehaven in the chapel at 12:00 p.m. with Jason Ewart officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. A private family burial will take place at St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in Vi's name to Hope Church or Shorehaven. Vi needed a Savior and now has a perfect one. Christ was first in her life. She cherished her family and friends, a lover of nature, avid gardener and a wonderful grandma. She will be dearly missed by so many who loved her! Vi's family would like to thank Vi's wonderful caregivers at Shorehaven for the past 3 years. Their kindness, devotion and love were so evident by the care they gave her.
