Violet M. Schaefer

Violet Marion Schaefer, age 89, of Ashippun, went to be with her Lord and Savior who she loved dearly, on July 2, 2018. Violet M. Kehl was born August 17th, 1928 in Lebanon, WI. Daughter of Harold and Lillian (Zachow) Kehl. On September 20th, 1947 she married William (Bill) Schaefer at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ashippun, WI. She was a member of St. John’s Altar Guild as well as a lifetime member of VFW Auxiliary Post 2260 of Oconomowoc. She worked at Glen Manufacturing Company in Watertown, Oconomowoc Electroplating, Musebeck Shoe Company in Oconomowoc and Wisconsin Graphics in Pewaukee. Her husband Bill preceded her in death on March 27, 2001 as well as her parents Harold and Lillian. Her brother Rodney and sister Jeanette Weihert and her step brother Fritz Multhaff. Violet is survived by her daughter Phyllis (Patrick) Weege, brother Donald Kehl, sister Diane (Donny) Schlegel, one sister in law Darlene Duehring, grandsons Jeffrey Weege, Jonathan (Stephanie) Weege, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Services for Violet will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 with a visitation for family and friends starting at 10:00 AM until time of memorial service at 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ashippun, WI, followed by a burial at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Violet's name to St. John’s Lutheran Church. The family of Violet would like to give a special thank you to the staff and caregivers at Wilkinson Woods assisted living, Vitas Hospice and Pastor Gary Tillman for their wonderful compassion and care they gave Violet.
