Virginia A. Galloway

Virginia Asher Galloway passed away peacefully on August 10, 2017 at the age of 98. She was born September 3, 1918 in her grandmother’s farm home between Pea Ridge and Bentonville, Arkansas. The family relocated to Wichita Kansas during the dustbowl era. Virginia is survived by two sisters, Ann Sanchez and Carolyn McCaul. Virginia married Robert. R. Galloway on January 1, 1937. They lived in Wichita, KS, and, Marysville, WA, They retired to Waukesha, WI in 1992 She was preceded in death by Robert after 55 years of marriage and their daughter Judy Floyd. She is lovingly remembered by her remaining children, Patsy Allen (Mark Miller) and Curtis Galloway (Sherry), 7 grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews . She and Robert were active in the Shrine and the Order of the Eastern Star for many years. Virginia was Worthy Grand Matron of the Wisconsin Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in 1989-1990. The Family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Three Pillars Senior Living Community for their kindness over the 25 years Virginia has lived there. A memorial service will be held at the Ewald Chapel in Three Pillars, in Dousman, Wisconsin on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 1:30 pm. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm.Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita , Ks.
